Composed of five distinctive cities, Ningxia presents a remarkable blend of nature, history, and culture. The Xumishan Grottoes preserve magnificent Buddhist carvings and ancient cave temples dating back more than a thousand years, while the ancient Great Wall of Qin reflects the city’s important strategic position in Chinese history. Visitors can also explore Wuliangshan Grottoes, Guyuan Museum, Guyuan Ancient City, and the Pingmen Ruins to experience the charm of this historic frontier town along the Silk Road.
