4 Days Jiuzhaigou Itinerary for Family with Kids

Day 1: Arrival Jiuzhaigou

Arrive at Huanglong Airport, be met and transferred to your hotel in Jiuzhaigou. Take some time to rest and acclimate to the altitude.

Day 2: Jiuzhaigou Valley —Highlights‌

Visit Jiuzhaigou national park, visit Rize Valley, Panda Lake, known for its turquoise waters and reflections. Continue to Five Flower Lake, famous for its stunning colors and underwater tree trunks. Take a shuttle bus to the top of Rize Valley and visit the Primeval Forest, a serene and picturesque area. Descend and stop at Pearl Shoal Waterfall, a cascading waterfall that's easy to walk around. Explore the Mirror Lake, where you can see the reflection of surrounding mountains on a calm day.

Notes:

High-speed train: Chengdu to Huanglong-Jiuzhai Station (approximately 1.5-2hours), approximately 2 hours from the station to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Spot.

Fly: It takes an hour to fly from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou. Jiuhuang Airport is about 88 kilometers away from Jiuzhaigou Scenic Spot and takes 2 hours by car.

Tips: If you are traveling with children, elderly people, or individuals who are highly sensitive to altitude, it's recommended to bring portable oxygen canisters before entering the scenic areas, as both Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong are located at high altitudes ranging from 2,000 to 3,500 meters. While in the parks, try to walk slowly, avoid strenuous activities, and stay well hydrated to prevent altitude sickness.

Bring warm clothes as temperatures drop quickly in the evening.

Day 1: Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou and Acclimatization
