7 Days Anhui Itinerary for Family with Kids

Day 1: Arrival in Hefei – Discover China's Innovation Hub

Arrive in Hefei, one of China's leading science and technology cities. After checking into your hotel, visit either the Anhui Innovation Museum or the Hefei Science and Technology Museum (Shuxihu Branch). Day 4: Huangshan Scenic Area

Explore Huangshan Scenic Area (approx. 1 hour's drive). Take the Yungu Cable Car up the mountain, explore Beginnign-to-Believe Peak, see the legendary Black Tiger Pine, and the whimsical Stone Monkey Watching the Sea. Stay overnight at a hotel near Bright Summit, convenient for next morning’s sunrise.

Day 5: Hongcun Ancient Village

Early morning hike to Lion Peak or Purple Cloud Peak to enjoy the Huangshan sunrise. Return to hotel for breakfast and rest. Light hike to the West Sea Grand Canyon (first ring). Descend via Yungu Cable.

Drive to Hongcun Ancient Village (approx. 1 hour's drive). Stroll through its picturesque lanes, admire the reflections in Moon Pond, and learn about traditional Huizhou architecture.

Day 6: Xidi Ancient Village and Huizhou Cooking Class

Day 1: Arrival in Huangshan and Hot Springs

Wake up early for sunrise at Bright Summit. After breakfast, continue your walk: Seclusion Pavilion – Hundred-Step Cloud Ladder – Lotus Pavilion – Jade Screen Tower. Take the Yuping Cableway down and return to Tunxi for the night.

Day 4: Visit Hongcun Ancient Village

Drive to Hongcun Ancient Village (approx. 1 hour's drive). Enjoy a relaxed stroll through its peaceful lanes, admire the reflections in Moon Pond, and discover traditional Hui-style architecture. Visit a traditional inkstick workshop to see how Huizhou ink is made. Then, try your hand at Chinese calligraphy and landscape painting with guidance from a local artist.
