If you're planning a 5-day trip to explore Chongqing and Chengdu, the time is just about enough—although a bit tight, it's still sufficient if you focus on the highlights. Depending on your interests, you can choose to spend 3 days in Chongqing and 2 days in Chengdu, or 3 days in Chengdu and 2 in Chongqing.
