Thanks so much for organizing such a wonderful tour for us. I think much of China falls into the “wow” category-the buildings, the trains, the tourist sites, the geography. Standouts would be the Sea of Clouds, cruising down the Li River in Guilin, the Bund in Shanghai, and the Tai Chi class in the park.
We love our Suzhou guide Deng, Deng, Deng!!! Such a lovely person, so knowledgeable, flawless English. I wish we were related, so I could see more of her.
For the sightseeing, I especially liked the Hutong in Beijing. It gave us an idea of what old China used to be like.

Regarding the train travel, if you get on early enough, there will be room for your suitcases.
