In the morning, go visit the National Tea Museum with the theme of tea and tea culture. It vividly reflects the long history, rich and colourful tea culture of China and the historical track of Chinese tea civilization for thousands of years.

After the visit of the museum, I bet you have gained some knowledge of Chinese tea. It is time for you to get first-hand experience by visiting a local tea plantation. You will have a tea culture experience at Meijiawu Tea Village. Along with the farmer, you will step into the tea plantation, pick up tea-leaves, stir-fry tea and enjoy a tea ceremony. It is a great chance to learn the Chinese tea culture.

Meijiawu Tea Village

After breakfast, start the tour from West Lake Scenic Area, where you could see numerous temples, Chinese-style arched bridges, pagodas, gardens and artificial islands. A relaxing boat cruise is arranged. Continue the tour to Lingyin Temple, which attracts thousands of visitors and Buddhist faithful every day with its long history and charming scenery. Next to it, it is the Peak Flown From Afar, famous for its beautiful scenery and stone carvings that are comparable with Dazu Stone Carving in Sichuan area.

After the tour, find a local teahouse to feel the local atmosphere and taste the local tea. The tour comes to an end with the visit to Six Harmonies Pagoda, a representative ancient pavilion-style tower in China. Visitors can get a wide and beautiful view by climbing up the pagoda. Looking out from the top of the pagoda, sightseers can see as far as the misty horizon, enjoying the unforgettable, breath-taking scenery.

West Lake

Drive about 1.5 hours from Hangzhou to Wuzhen Water Town after breakfast. Though with a long history of 1,300 years, Wuzhen Water Town is surprisingly well preserved. Visiting it is like taking a step back in time. Here you could enjoy the folk performance and see the local life. A relaxing boat cruise will allow you to watch the ancient buildings and local life along the canal.
