Day 1: Admire the beautiful cityscape
Begin your first day in Xiamen. Take the Zhonggu Cableway for a bird’s-eye view of the Xiamen Island, then visit Xiamen University and South Putuo Temple. Follow the Island Ring Road to the pier and catch a ferry to Gulangyu Island. Climb Sunlight Rock, explore Shuzhuang Garden, and visit the Organ Museum, spending your afternoon on the island. In the evening, start your delicacy journey on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, and don’t forget to head to the viewing platform for a glimpse of Gulangyu’s nightscape.
