Harbin, known for its ice culture and majestic landscapes, is definitely an ideal summer resort for skiing. Hailed as the Oriental Paris, it opens its arms and welcomes visitors from around the world in the annual Harbin Ice and Snow Festival. The ice castles, ice lanterns and ice sculptures never fail to attract visitors. The annual Harbin Ice Lantern Festival attracts masters of ice lanterns from all over. During the festival, the city is dotted with magnificent ice lanterns that delight visitors. During the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival each year, large scale winter swimming events will be staged to spice up the atmosphere. The St. Sophia Cathedral is also a must-see tourist site, the wall of which is entirely constructed with red bricks and a large dome on the top that resembles an onion. The cathedral has a main building and a subordinate one, each of which are connected with stairways, with four doors on each of its four directions. On the top of the front door stands a bell tower. The bronze bell is tolled by trained bellmen and the melodious sound echoes throughout the city.

Day 1: Welcome to the Ice City - Harbin! Make sure that you buttoned up your coat walking out of the airport, it’s cold outside but your personal tour guide will greet you with a warm smile at the arrival hall. Together you will take the private, heated vehicle back to the hotel. After checking in, head for Songhua River to watch the brave local people swim in icy water, now feel warmer? After lunch in a fine local restaurant, go on to visit St. Sophia Cathedral, a rich Byzantine style Eastern Orthodox Church. It is now mainly used as an architectural art gallery to display the past, current, and future development of Harbin city. Then you will spend some quality time on Central Street, feel free to take pictures of the first pedestrian street in China and the diverse architecture.
Day 2: After a big breakfast, drive about twenty minutes to the Sun Island Scenic Area, which provides beautiful landscapes all year round. Every winter, different themed snow sculptures are sculpted and displayed here. After lunch in a fine local restaurant, you will head to Harbin Ice and Snow World to witness the exquisiteness of annually displayed ice sculptures . Come have a drink at the ice bar, take a seat in the ice hotel, and try golfing in the snow. You are in the Ice City, forget about the cold and enjoy! When night falls, the lights and lasers are on display, turning it into a wonderful and colorful fairyland.
Day 3: Your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel and escort you to the airport for your next destination. Come back next winter for more fun!
