Day 1, Arrive Hong Kong

Meals: No Meals

Fly into Hong Kong, one of the most popular destinations in Asia. Your tour guide and driver will greet you at the airport for a private transfer to your hotel in the downtown area. Hong Kong is convenient, comprehensive, romantic and waiting for you to explore.

Day 2, Escorted Half Day Tour of Hong Kong Island

Meals: Breakfast

Visit the highlight attractions of Hong Kong on a private half day tour. Reach the top of Victoria Peak by Peak Tram. On the highest peak of the island, you take in incredible views of Hong Kong’s urban landscape. Then take a sampan cruising Aberdeen, used to be home to fishermen and now famous for floating restaurants on water. Later come to Repulse Bay, enjoying the sunshine and beach. Alternatively, ramble at Stanley Market, lined with specialty shops.

Free at leisure in the afternoon.

Day 3, Hong Kong to Guilin, Folded Brocade Hill Sunset

Meals: Breakfast

Be met and transferred to Hong Kong West Kowloon railway station. Embark on a bullet train journey to Guilin. Guilin is world famous for its natural beauty that consists of karst hills, magical caves and silky waters.

Drive to Folded Brocade Hill to watch the sunset at dusk. On the top of the hill, enjoy a panoramic view of Guilin - Li River winds its way through the city center. In this classic site, you can take photos of memorial significance.

Alternatively, take a brisk stroll around the central lakes to see the Elephant Trunk Hill and serval cultural sites, supposed that you don’t want to do the mountain walking.

Day 4, Guilin to Yangshuo by Cruise, Countryside Tour

Cruise is always part of a romantic trip. Take a cruise on Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo rewards you with surreal landscape. As your ship floats down the silky streams, passing by dramatic, ever-changing karst peaks, you’ve slide into a fairyland that you can’t find anywhere else on earth.

Go ashore and walk through West Street, the bustling center of Yangshuo town. You may experience the romantic nightlife here at a bar or a café.

Drive away from the tourist crowds and go through Yangshuo’s idyllic countryside. The country roads lead to orchards, rural farmlands, rivers, karst peaks and tranquil villages. You can stop anywhere and take interesting or kissing photos. If you prefer, knock on a local’s door and visit the house.

Day 5, Cooking and Learning Chinese Calligraphy in Yangshuo

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

This morning, enjoy the pleasure of cooking Chinese foods with him/her. Before that you may visit a local traditional market and see what fresh food materials are for sale. Then at a kitchen (of a local family or a classroom), you learn the skills of cutting and cooking steps of Chinese dishes. You must be very happy to see your love feast on the food your make.

Are you interested in Chinese art, or even more particularly, Chinese calligraphy? A calligraphy lesson in this afternoon allows you to learn to write Chinese characters with brush and ink stick and experience the unique charm of Chinese calligraphy.

Day 6, Yangshuo to Guilin to Hangzhou

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Enjoy the peaceful and sweet time at hotel. Alternatively, you may take a private Taiji lesson in a park, to follow a master practice Taiji boxing. The soft moves are good to the health and can relieve fatigue of mind and body.

Transfer to the airport of Guilin and fly to Hangzhou. Hangzhou is renowned for its cultural traditions and ancient water towns.

Day 7, Hangzhou Cultural Immersion, West Lake Cruise

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast drive along a scenic city street to Lingyin Temple and Peak Flown from Afar (Feilai Feng). Initially built in 326, Lingyin Temple is one of the most amazing temples in China. Feilai Feng is an important site of ancient Chinese grotto art, with hundreds of Buddha statues elaborately carved from hill rocks.

Later visit the Pagoda of Six Harmonies, initially built in 970 and rebuilt in 1156 after it was ravaged in wars. It is one of the top 10 pagodas in China, with 13 floors and reaching 60 meters high. There are still many cultural relics and Buddhist classics kept inside the pagoda. 

West Lake has been considered the most romantic places in Hangzhou, featuring beautiful views and more importantly some cultural landscape, including Breeze-ruffled Lotus at Quyuan Garden, Three Pools Mirroring the Moon and the stone-arched Broken Bridge. Cruise West Lake and get in a lovely islet.

Day 8, Nanxun Water Town Cruise & Water Wedding Ceremony Performance

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Have you ever seen a water wedding before? Here in Nanxun Water Town, you can witness and even participate in a traditional Chinese wedding ceremony held on water. The bride is dressed in traditional clothes and takes a boat to arrive the groom’s home. Bow to Heaven and Earth and giving wedding candies are also part of the wedding ceremony.

Besides, you will visit some former residents of local celebrities, and take a hand-controlled boat to visit the tranquil and authentic 100 Houses Complex (Baijianlou) and East Avenue.

Day 9, Hangzhou to Huangshan, Hongcun Village

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Take high speed train from Hangzhou to Huangshan City. Tour the UNESCO-protected Hongcun Village, known as “A Village on Chinese Painting”. The village’s ancient houses, bridges, streets and alleyways and the charming scenery of lakes and mountains enhance one another’s beauty. And you can experience a long-gone lifestyle here.

For the rest of the time, your guide would like to lead you to a café, talking more about Huizhou culture in a relaxing way. Alternatively, ride a bike leisurely along the country roads to take in rural scenery.

Day 10, Huizhou Style Village life, Yellow Mountain Sunset

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Your longing to experience the authentic village life will be answered in Nanping Village, where, with beautiful natural settings and an array of old houses, you will join the locals to pick the vegetables, cook a meal at home and chat with them about Huizhou folklores.

Thereafter, ascend Yellow Mountain - China’s most beautiful mountain – by cableway. Walk for 1 – 1.5 hours to reach your hotel. If weather permits, watch the sun sets on Yellow Mountain.

Day 11, Yellow Mountain Sunrise, Huangshan to Shanghai

Let’s pray the weather is good, so that you can take this rare chance to see the sunrise of Yellow Mountain. You will also be in awe seeing Yellow Mountain’s numerous strangely-shaped pines growing from the cliffs and peculiar rocks. When the mountain is shrouded with seas of clouds, it seems as if you are in a wonderland.

Take high speed train from Huangshan to Shanghai.

Day 12, Shanghai Essence: Garden, Museum and the Bund

Enjoy ancient Chinese culture & art and discover Shanghai’s colonial history. Admire some of ancient China’s most precious culture/art treasures in Shanghai Museum, such as bronze wares, paintings, calligraphy masterpieces, ceramics, and so forth.

Then walk in the heart of traditional Shanghai – the Town God Temple area, where you visit Yu Garden, Shanghai’s finest traditional garden, and the bustling food streets, where various steamed bun, dim sum, pancakes, candies, traditional noodles… are worth a taste.

Your guide will lead you to the Bund, lined with tens of colonial architectures - a witness of Shanghai’s turbulent modern history. Huangpu River lies between the Bund and Lujiazui Financial District – the old Shanghai and futuristic Shanghai are connected seamlessly. On the top of Shanghai World Financial Center, view Shanghai’s majestic skyline.

Day 13, Depart Shanghai
