By taking a Taiji class in front of Temple of Heaven, following a master to practice Taiji moves, you learn the Taoism’s philosophy of balancing physical and spiritual health.

Visit a bustling local antique market, named Panjiayuan Market, if you travel in Beijing on a weekend, to discover countless antique accessories, ornaments, coins and so forth.

Have a wondrous journey through Forbidden City – the imperial palace of ancient China for about 500 years. Before entering Forbidden City, you will walk across Tiananmen Square and see Chairman Mao’s portrait on Tiananmen Rostrum. Witness the awe-inspiring wooden architectures and precious artistic displays of Forbidden City and learn its history.

Temple of Heaven

Drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall and take cableway to the summit. This endless wall was an enormous and effective fortification for over 2000 years and reflects the intelligence and diligence of ancient Chinese people. Mutianyu section is longest and one of the best-kept and most scenic Great Wall, with relatively less tourists.

In the afternoon, ride a vintage rickshaw through the winding hutong alleyways with a snapshot of local Beijingers’ life. Visit a traditional courtyard house where you take a calligraphy lesson. Learn to write “I Love You” and her/his name in Chinese.

Enjoy a special, romantic dinner - dinning on Beijing Roasted Duck (optional).

Great Wall

Summer Palace is the most sophisticated royal garden of ancient China, built based on the superb traditional garden art and beautiful natural environment. Great Wall

Dream of exploring the ancient tombs around the world with your love? Well then the imposing tomb of Emperor Qinshihuang’s Terracotta Army is must-visit in China. The prestigious capital of ancient China, today Xian still retains its unique historic atmosphere, as well as its ancient city wall, which is the longest and best preserved in China. Get in the city wall and feel like you travel through time from the ancient to nowadays.

Continue to be embraced by history and visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Xian’s iconic structure, to admire one of China’s first Buddhist pagodas and get to know the history of the great Silk Road that connected Chang’an (ancient name of Xian) and West Asia and even Mediterranean countries.

Xi'an Ancient City Wall

Wake in fresh air and soft morning sunlight. Invite your husband/wife participate in the onboard Taiji practice. Feel connected with your body and spiritual again. The rest of the morning free at leisure or you may take some cultural activities onboard.

In the afternoon, join the other passengers for a shore excursion to Shibaozhai Pagoda, which is a beautiful black-and-red wooden structure built surprisingly on a hill cliff, thus praised as one of the most outstanding architecture marvels in the world.

Yangtze River Cruise

Today, the ship will sail through the Three Gorge landscape, which incorporates Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge and is renowned for the majestic views of mountains and steep cliff. Relax at the deck, breathing the fresh air and enjoying the scenery of water and greenery. Then take a small boat to slide through Goddess Stream (Shennv Stream) – a hidden gem along the Yangtze, with access to the tomb of hanging coffins and cliff coffins, and local people’s humble village.

Attend the Captain’s Farewell Party. Enjoy the fantastic performances, with a relaxed, fun, yet refined atmosphere.

Yangtze River Cruise

After breakfast, check out, and disembark in Yichang this morning. You will be driven to the site of Three Gorge Dam, along with all the other passengers. The dam is a multipurpose hydraulic project, being the biggest and most efficiency of its kind in the world, and creating a spectacular scene on the Yangtze River.

Before flying to Shanghai, have a visit of Sanyou Cave, a famous cultural site in Yichang, with ancient pavilions and military fort. Many ancient literati and poets came here successively and left hundreds of cliff inscriptions and poems.

Three Gorge Dam

Then walk in the heart of traditional Shanghai – the Town God Temple area, where you visit Yu Garden, Shanghai’s finest traditional garden, and the bustling food streets, where various steamed bun, dim sum, pancakes, candies, traditional noodles… are for sale.

Do you want to experience Shanghai’s old good days? Ride a vintage sidecar with him/her to discover the historic charm and stories of the Bund. And ride through the ornately decorated skyscrapers to the old secret streets to glimpse into Shanghainese’s traditional life.
