Ancient Culture of Xian
With more than 3100 years of history, Xi’an is one of the four great ancient capitals of China. It is a city full of history and culture. During this 5-day tour, you will visit not only the regular highlights, but also the Gao Family Courtyard and learn how to make dumpling with the locals. You will visit the Huxian County to see the local farmers' paintings.

Ancient Culture of Xian: Discover a Real Ancient Xian
Day 1: Your personal guide and driver will wait for you at the airport arrival hall, holding your name sign. They will transfer you from the airport to the hotel in about forty minutes. Have a good rest at the hotel, dinner at the hotel is suggested.

Day 2: Today’s tour includes the world famous Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses and the ancient City Wall. One hour drive from Xi’an city to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum which includes three pits and an exhibition opened for travelers. It takes two hours to visit all the places.
Your lunch will be arranged at a good local restaurant near the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. After lunch, we suggest that you have a stopover at the handmade pottery factory where you will learn how people manufacture the terra-cotta warriors. You can buy one at a reasonable price. There is no pressure to buy.
In the afternoon, drive back to the city center and visit the Xi’an City Wall, taking a bike or a golf car is a good way to see it all in an hour. The City Wall is the landmark of Xi’an. It is well-preserved, as well as one of the oldest and largest city defense systems in China.

Day 3: After breakfast, you will visit the Xi’an city highlights, including the Shaanxi History Museum, which is one of the biggest and best museums with modern facilities in China. You will find two hours at the Museum too short. Follow a local family to visit a farmers’ market and then learn how to make dumplings step by step. Compare the difference of the dumplings made by you to the ones at the Dumpling restaurant that you will try for lunch. With a full and warm stomach, take a stroll in the Great Mosque which is a combination of Islamic culture and Chinese culture, then visit the Gao Family’s Courtyard to see the architectural art of the Ming and Qing Dynasty; antique furniture, paper-cutting and shadow play.
In the evening, you will enjoy the spectacular Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show, which has been wowing audiences for years. The show is performed by artists wearing Tang finery and tells the story of the Tang Dynasty. It is a great combination of music, dance and beautiful Tang dress.

Day 4: Drive about one hour to visit the People's residence in Hu County. Hu County is one of the cultural regions famous both at home and abroad. The local farmers' paintings in this county have a long history and a large variety. You will see the paintings that describe local culture and daily life and are totally different from the realistic paintings.
Drive back to the city for a lovely lunch at a fine local restaurant, you may buy the dishes you like and try the local flavor. After that, visit The Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is a Buddhism pagoda where Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his Buddhism classics brought from India. The Music Fountain nearby is a special free treat if you are there at the right time.

Day 5: The guide and driver will escort you from hotel to airport and help you do the airport check-in.
