Yellow Dragon Cave in Zhangjiajie is 7.5 kilometers long with vertical height of 140 meters. The cave has 4 floors. There are caves in the Cave and various rivers, stalagmites, stalagmite and stalactites. According to experts, there was an ocean in the place of Yellow Dragon Cave with soluble limestone and dolomite before 380 million years ago. With years of development, it started to shape a cave and dried cave by the rising of earth crust 6,500 years ago and finally the wonders of the effect of karst and water. According to concluding over 70 experts in Geology of China, Yellow Dragon Cave varies with a range of species there. With three-dimensional cave structure, large space, broader dragon king’s palace, thousands of stalagmites, high cave fall and water-land tourism route, Yellow Dragon Cave is a unique cave at home and abroad. The cave has 1 reservoir, 2 rivers, 3 ponds, 4 falls, 13 lobbies, 98 galleries, tens of peaks, thousands of white jade pools and tens of thousands of stalagmites. You can find stalactite, stalagmite, peristele, stone flower, stone curtain, helictite, stone pearls and madrepore which create a magical palace. Yellow Dragon Cave has 6 scenic areas open to the public including, Dragon Dance Palace, Xiangshui River, Tianxian Fall, Peristele Street and Dragon King’s Palace with over 100 sceneries.

Wulingyuan Scenic area has been designated as a World Natural Heritage. Yellow Dragon Cave, one of 35 top scenic areas listed by National Tourism Administrative, has become the center of the scenic area.
