China travel pace and interests

Travel Pace

Your travel pace can be adjusted according to your preferences. We work for eight hours a day. You can decide what time you wish to start your day, and how long you wish to stay in the scenic spots you are interested in. We will normally arrange three to four scenic spots within the city area for you to visit each day. If scenic areas are more than two hours' drive from the city center, or from where you are staying, we usually arrange one of them for you, such as the Longji Terraced Rice Fields (Guilin), Mutianyu (a section of the Great Wall, Beijing), the Huangshan Mountain (Tunxi, Huangshan), and Wuzhen (Hangzhou). It generally takes half a day to visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses in Xi'an or the Chengdu Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding. On rare occasions, your tour may exceed eight hours. If so, we will not charge extra fees. However, in these cases it is customary to offer more tips to your tour guide and driver as they are actually working extra hours.

Travel Interests

When it comes to your itinerary, please tell us what you are interested in so we can create one that suits you best. The following are some of the places or items that may interest you: ancient culture, the Three Gorges, riverside towns, the Silk Road, World Heritage Sites, Shangri-La, Tibetan culture, grasslands, ethnic groups, the art of painting, calligraphy, martial arts, schools, factories, enterprises and hiking…and any other special interests.
