Paragliding Competition Held in Xinjiang Kanas

On 11, August 7, 2012 National Paragliding Competition was started in Xinjiang Kanas Scenic Spot. A total of 66 players from 16 delegations originating in 13 provinces will compete against one other in 5 days.

The competition is co-held by Aviation Radio Model Sports Center of General Administration of Sport of China, Xinjiang Sports Bureau and Kanas Scenic Spot Management Committee. Among the 66 players, there are 54 males and 12 females, including 8 national members of Chinese Paragliding Team.

Yuan Lin, the head judge of the competition and coach of national paragliding team, told the journalist that Kanas is a very suitable place for para-gliding. Though he was a judge, he wants to see the beautiful scenery in the sky after competition. A play named Wang Fuqin said he came to Xinjiang not only for the competition but also for the wonderful scenery there in Xinjiang.
