Minnie Jia
My name is Jia Zhen, and my English name is Minnie. I studied English literature in Xi’an International Studies University and graduated in 2004. Since then, I’ve been working as a tour guide in CITS Xi’an for over 4 years. In these four years, I am working over 200 days in average each year. Besides the routine job as a local guide, I also have many opportunities to work as a national guide and tour leader, which I have learnt a lot from it. I was also working as a volunteer for GE—the worldwide partner of the Olympic Games during Beijing Olympic Game this year. All those precious working experiences make me more and more sophisticated and confident. Last year, I took part in the Xi’an tour guide contest and got the 3rd prize in this competition.
