Although they are sort of slumping in general, western style buildings under French phoenix trees in the Hengshan Road are full of charm. Several musical bars, represented by cotton club and close to noisy downtown and American consulate, are representatives of the highest level of Shanghai musical bars. Baby face in the Maoming Road is still a gathering place of handsome boys and gorgeous girls as well as a first choice to appreciate scenery and hot place of releasing fashionable brands.

 

Fashion: Xintiandi stands for another school of bar in Shanghai. It is not original but tends to be as same as Shanghai which merges more trendy elements. Layout of Shikumen, open-air coffee seats, not many pedestrians in the daytime give tourists a good background to take photos. In the evening, different people are like airborne troops occupying this highland.

 

Luxurious: No. 3 and No.18 of The Bund are top luxurious pronouns in the magnificent Shanghai. However, expenditure there is not much more expensive than that of the Xintiandi. The theme parties with different purposes are often held here and the entrance fee is just about one hundred but you have to get graceful dressed according to the theme.

 

Purity: Compared with other bars, bars near the universities have sort of sense of youth and purity. These bars are not luxuriously decorated but with witty ideas and strange and exaggerated walls. Most of them are free scribbles of guests and the price is also acceptable.
