First time in China - 1 week or 2 weeks itinerary suggested
If this is your first time in China, we usually recommend a traditional itinerary, which includes the highlights of the most popular tourist destinations in China, such as Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu (the hometown of giant panda), the Three Gorges, Shanghai, Guilin and Hong Kong. Generally speaking, it takes around 12 days to visit these places. If you prefer a more leisurely pace, you can spend 14 to 15 days on such an itinerary. It usually takes three to four days to tour around Chengdu and for Hong Kong, two to three days are enough.
East China itineraries - 1 week suggested
There are also a number of places in East China that hold a great fascination for tourists. The East China itinerary covers such places as Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Huangshan and Fujian Tulou (these are distinctive earthen structures housing Hakka families in the mountainous areas in southeastern Fujian, China). As a famous Chinese saying goes, "Up above there is heaven; down below there are Suzhou and Hangzhou." If you enjoy leisure and tranquility and have a penchant for river towns, silk or tea leaves, then you really have to visit Hangzhou and Suzhou. Work is expected to start in 2014 on a high-speed railway between Hangzhou and Huangshan, which will take only an hour between the two cities. Meanwhile flights from Shanghai, Beijing and Xi'an to Huangshan are available, as well as direct flights from Hangzhou to Xiamen (Fujian Province) and to Shanghai. Such convenient flights means that you can complete this itinerary within 7 - 8 days.

Yunnan Tour itineraries - 1 week to 2 weeks suggested
The Yunnan tour itinerary covers such places as Kunming, Dali, Shaxi, Lijiang, Zhongdian, Deqin, Benzilan, Meili, Jianshui, Yuanyang, Xishuangbanna and Jinghong. It takes 8 to 10 days to tour some of the major attractions in Yunnan. Bordered on its northern side by Tibet and Sichuan Yunnan is hailed as the Last Shangri-La on earth, described in Lost Horizon, a 1933 novel by English writer James Hilton. The book was turned into a movie in 1937 by director Frank Capra. From Deqin, you can travel to Daocheng (Sichuan Province) and Yading Nature Reserve by car. The road conditions along the way can be rough, but often beautiful. If you drive from Deqin to Chengdu, the itinerary takes 10 to 12 days. Normally, travelers visit Kunming first, and then Dali, Lijiang and Zhongdian, which takes around seven to eight days.
Sichuan Tour itineraries - 2 days, 4 days, 1 week or 2 weeks suggested
Apart from the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Pandas, Jiuzhaigou Valley, Leshan and the Emei Mountain, the Sichuan itinerary also covers many other extraordinary places, such as Kangding, Litang, Hailuogou, Daocheng, Yading, Danba, Barkam and Mount Siguniang. It takes about 30 days to tour around all of these places. However, 10 to 15 days is sufficient to take in the most majestic scenery and four days for a trip to Jiuzhaigou, Leshan or the Emei Mountain. Another three days would be enough if you intend to visit most of the scenic areas in Chengdu.
Tibet tour itineraries - 4 days, 1 week or 2 weeks suggested
Apart from the four-day Lhasa itinerary, we also offer other Tibet tour itineraries, covering such remote but beautiful places as Gyantse, Shingatse, Tingri and Mount Everest. In these places, you will be blessed to appreciate the majestic Brahmanputra River and the dreamlike landscapes all along the way. One of the most popular itineraries is Lhasa-Jiangzi-Shingatse-Tingri-Mount Everest-Tingri-Lhasa, which usually takes around eight to ten days. If you choose this itinerary, you can cross to Nepal via the Friendship Bridge in Zhangmu. Flights from Nepal and Lhasa are also available. Aside from all these places, there are still many other places waiting for you, such as Nyingchi, Zedang and Medog. We will endeavor to create wonderful itineraries that cater to your needs.
Guizhou tour itineraries - 1 week or 2 weeks suggested
Many cities in China have established flights to Guizhou. The Guizhou tour itinerary covers such places as Guiyang, Kaili, Xijiang, Rongjiang, Congjiang, Libo and finally Sanjiang, Longsheng, Guilin and Yangshuo. Normally, 10 to 15 days are enough for this itinerary if you plan to fly to Shanghai or Hong Kong from Guilin and then leave China.
FYI: The road conditions are far from desirable as a result of the narrow roads and some of the accommodation may fall short of your expectations as some of the places only have 3-star hotels and the 4-star and 5-star hotels along the way are not up to the standards of those in the big cities. This is a rugged journey; what you see are mostly villages, indigenous ethnic groups and mountains.
Xinjiang tour itineraries - 1 week or 2 weeks suggested
Normally, visitors may spend six to eight days visiting Dunhuang, Urumqi, Turpan and Kashgar. You can also visit Taxkorgan (near Kashgar, featuring high altitude, snow-capped mountains, grasslands and green lakes), Hotan (desert and oasis) and Minfeng (desert and oasis). From Urumqi, you can head to Korla, Kuqa, Aksu and finally arrive at Kashgar (or you can traverse the Taklimakan Desert and arrive at Hotan) after a 4-6 hour drive. There are direct flights from Urumqi to Hotan, Turpan, Korla and to Aksu. So you may also consider travelling by air for these sections. Most visitors to Xinjiang usually start at Xi'an, stop at Dunhuang to visit the Mingsha Mountain, Crescent Spring and Mogao Grottoes, then fly to Turpan and finally arrive at Urumqi.
Inner Mongolia tour itineraries - 1 week suggested
Inner Mongolia is a vast and wild place, where the local ethnic people ride horses and gallop across the grasslands. Either the 3-day grassland tour or the 7-day grassland and culture tour would be a perfect choice for you. The most popular tourist attractions are Hohhot, Xilamuren grassland, Ordos and Helingeer. You can fly to Urumqi from Beijing or Shanghai or take a 3-hour train trip from Datong. If you are interested in Mongolia, you can fly to Ulan Bator from Urumqi.
Shanxi tour itineraries - 1 week suggested
Most of the tourist attractions in Shanxi have a trace of Buddhism, exemplified in the grottoes, stone statues and temples. If you have not already seen enough temples, stone statues and other scenic areas related to Buddhist art, Shanxi would be a perfect choice for you. Most people start their journey from Datong, home to the Yungang Grottoes. Then they head to the remarkable Hanging Temple and the Pagoda of Fogong Temple and then to Wutai Mountain to see the temple ensemble. After a 3-4-hour drive, many stay in Taiyuan for one night and see the Jin Memorial Temple. Then, on the way to Pingyao, the Qiao Family Compound or the Wang Family Compound are both worth a visit. A 2-night stay in Pingyao is popular, before leaving for Taiyuan and flying on to Xi'an, Beijing or Shanghai. Seven to eight days is enough for such an itinerary.
