Hong Kong Avenue of stars

In 2003, the New World Group announced spending HK$40 million to build the Avenue of Stars in Kowloon. It was open to the general public on April 27th, 2004 and handed over to the Special Administrative District Government as public property. It is a special attraction that honors celebrities from the Hong Kong film industry, modeled after Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. The names and hand prints of film stars have been inscribed on commemorative plaques along the Avenue of Stars according in chronological order. Currently, the Avenue of Stars has the capacity to hold 100 plaques.
