We accept the following methods of payment:

  • 1. Credit card via PAYPAL online payment
  • 2. Wire transfer/bank transfer to our partner Bank of China

1. Paypal, the most popular & safer method of online payment

paypal payment guide

PayPal is available in 190 countries and regions. You can use Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express with PayPal. Plus, when you pay with PayPal, you don't expose your credit card number to merchants. The service gives people simpler ways to send money without sharing financial information, and with the flexibility to pay using their account balances, bank accounts, credit cards or promotional financing. You can use either a credit card registered with PayPal, or a funding source other than your credit card, or a combination of both. When receiving a refund then, if you used a credit card, PayPal credits your credit card. If you used a funding source other than a credit card, your PayPal balance will receive the credit. If you used both a credit card and another source, the credit card portion goes to the credit card, and the remainder goes to your PayPal balance.

2. Wire transfer/bank transfer to our partner Bank of Communications

We are a partner of the Bank of Communications. If an online payment is not convenient, we recommend a wire/bank Transfer from you. You need only transfer the money from your bank and email the bank receipt to your personal travel advisor. It may take 7 to 21 days to complete such a transfer to our bank in China. If you book a tour less than 20 days before departure, we still require a small percentage of the total tour cost be made through PAYPAL. The balance of monies due can then be paid at the time of your arrival in China. Alternatively we can accept a WESTERN UNION TRANSFER. Our bank accommodates all major currencies.

Payment Policy

For your peace of mind, please read our payment policy carefully before booking a China Culture Tour with us. Contact us if you require clarification of any point.

Currently we use a conversion rate for Chinese currency (CNY) to US$ of CNY 6.64 = US$1 (updated on Mar. 2019) for the purpose of quotation. This rate remains in place until such time as there is a significant movement in currency rates. We quote in CNY and must charge your credit card in CNY. All banks and credit card companies buy Chinese currency at their local rate for payment, and this may vary marginally from our quoted rate. You will find the final payment charged may therefore be more or less than we quote. Also, the bank or card company will deduct a transaction fee from your card.

We only make charges in Chinese Currency (CNY) to you. As the exchange rate changes monthly, so the balance of your payment may change accordingly. For example, when you pay a 20% deposit it may hypothetically leave a balance of CNY68000 (which equals to US$10000) whilst the exchange rate is CNY6.8=1USD, 2 months later, the exchange rate may change to CNY6.70=1USD, so your balance will be 68000/6.70=10149USD. In this instance, you will find U$149=10149-10000 extra charged from your card. (Note: you may pay the full amount in a single transaction to avoid such an eventuality)

China Culture Tour uses the most reasonable exchange rate, the Cash Buying Rate, which can benefit both of us. According to international common practice most travel companies use the Cash Buying Rate.

If you pay us via bank transfer, then CCT accepts the Buying Rate. This does not apply if you pay us in cash when you are in China. Therefore, depending on the exchange rates. If you want to benefit from the Buying Rate, you can choose to use Western Union or bank transfer to transfer your full payment which can reach our personal account within minutes or Days.

Selling Rate and Cash Selling Rate are only used when a bank sells foreign currency to a person or a company. These two rates are the highest because the bank makes a profit. The Middle Rate is used in banks and does not apply a person or a company.

Reference exchange rate: Please refer to the Cash Buying Rate at Bank of China EXCHANGE RATE.
