Laoshe Teahouse
Laoshe Teahouse lies in Qianmen, Xidajie Street, Xuanwu District. It is named after the famous writer Lao She and his play Teahouse (Cha Guan). Lao She was an eminent Chinese writer, novelist and dramatist and one of the most significant figures of Chinese literature in the 20th century. Opened in 1988, Laoshe Teahouse is a unique place for a different aspect of entertaining in Beijing. It is always filled with visitors who are interested in Chinese ancient cultural traditions and arts from home and abroad.
There are many activities and performances in the teahouse, such as traditional opera, cross talk, song-and-dance duet and stories told in Beijing dialect.
